Team 1 - Séance 1 Location: 2nd floor main room Here Theresa and myself also conducted a séance, it was slow at first but well worth the wait. Theresa made contact with "The Lady of the Manor" as she wanted to be known, she was described as a kind, gentle lady who was very elegant; she was very well dressed and took a shine to one of the gentlemen we had around the table called Paul. We asked him how he felt, and he described himself as feeling all tingly and warm, he said he felt very comfortable with her. After a while she started looking around the rest of the group, but it seemed she was more drawn to Paul and left us after a while.
Team 2 - Séance 2 Location: 2nd floor nursery After we started getting a feel for the place in the back rooms upstairs, we felt the room we were in was quite flat so we moved to the next room. In this room a member of the group, Rachel, who is usually full of life went extremely quiet and was feeling down, she left the room and went to sit in the next room, a photo was taken of her as she sat and around there are a few orbs in the pictures taken by Phil. We all commented on how warm it was and the rain we could hear on the roof, then I called out and asked if there was anyone with us, we then had a phenomenon that may be explainable or coincidentally an answer to the question asked, the rain on the roof started to sound like it was being poured instead of raining, to which I asked if it was spirit, could they change the sound of the rain back, it did change - but this may have been a natural occurrence. A temperature reading of the room showed it to be 22oc, with 45oc reading on Rachel which was exceptionally high even though she said she was cold, a few other members of the team felt hot too, but no further abnormal readings were attained. We then decided to carry out a séance, and we got knocks on the wall behind us, and I also heard a baby crying, suddenly I felt as though I was wearing a Basque in that my whole body was being pulled tight and I was being forced to stand up straight, I felt awkward then so we closed the séance down. We then saw flashing lights that lit up adjacent rooms, bars of white light and two red dots on the spiral staircase. We felt a presence on the stairs; a few people took pictures on which orbs were found. We also had some tapping responses to questions.
Team 1 - Scrying Location: 2nd floor main room Lead by myself and Theresa conducted "Scrying" in the main room upstairs again with some unexpected results. Jayne started off the experiment where she described her features changing into a gentleman, he had a long Moustache and had very prominent eyes, then Phil had a go and he described a gentleman with thick glasses and strong features and again very prominent eyes. The next person to try this was Natalie, who I believe has a gift also and when she started the session off, amazingly her and Theresa started working together - it was brilliant to watch. Natalie said she could see 3 spirits in the mirror, one a young lady in her late teens early twenty's, the other a little boy not very old, and the third was a very dominant male presence who was about to make himself more than known to us all. Theresa was confirming everything Natalie felt the young lady was very unhappy and she wanted to tell us what was wrong but this male energy kept stopping her from doing so, the young child was very a weak energy and we did not get much from him. They kept on asking what is was that made her sad but he wouldn’t let her answer. Then Theresa said to us he had a dark secret he didn’t want anyone knowing about, I asked him if this was the case and we had no reply, then Theresa said to him you have a secret you don’t want anyone to know don’t you! Then the room became very oppressive and out of nowhere a stone was thrown at the wall behind Theresa, she then said he has become very agitated and he didn’t want us in there no more. During this last session of Scrying a bag was heard rustling beside the Scrying table, but on inspection, no bag was found. Movement was heard constantly in the room next to the room we were in, and upon inspection - no one was found to be there. We stayed for a short while after the other team had joined us, but he had made his feeling quite clear so we left him in peace.
Team 2 - Automatic Handwriting 1 Location: Second floor We went into the room known as "The Hanging Room" when we arrived people commented on a feeling of anxiety, we set up the table with a sheet of paper attached at both ends, we then wrote Yes and No on the paper and placed the planchette’s on the table. Two volunteers came forward to the table to try the experiment. The first got a slight movement but nothing significant so we changed over. We waited for a while with no success. Then I felt the presence of a lady in the doorway who I asked to step forward which she did and used Emma to answer our questions. Her name was Emily, she answered many of our questions and the whole group got involved. We then all heard footsteps outside the room, which we thought were from a gentleman. I asked him to step forward and use the tool to communicate, he seemed to be agitated and took over from Emily and pushed Emma’s arm violently towards the no, therefore we decided not to pursue this anymore and apologised to him in case we had upset him in some way. Emma decided to leave the table so we changed over again, we did get a little movement but it seemed to only want to.
Communicate through Emma, she came back to the table and we contacted Emily again. Another lady in the group (Gloria), Had to sit down as she was having difficulty breathing, when Emily would give us no response to a question the planchette bounced, we asked her if she was with her family and it bounced like mad, but she seemed upset so we decided to close the experiment down.
On changing teams we found that the energy was different, and we got responses almost immediately. Using the Planchette, we contacted a lady called Nell Davies who was born in 1677 and was a cook at the castle and lived in the surrounding area. She met "the love of her life" in 1706, and died of an unknown illness. She was a pleasant energy who appeared quite happy to talk to us.
Team 1 and 2 - EVP experiment We then conducted some EVP experiments and everyone was split into teams of 2 and put into rooms of their own. We also heard footsteps, and at one point my team heard a loud sigh right by us.
Team 1 and 2 - Séance 3 We conducted this séance quite late on in the early hours of the morning. Present were myself, Carey, Natalie and Lesley. We had a few taps on the floor but nothing significant until we asked did they want us to leave, there was a large flash of light, which lit up the room behind me, and I heard a bag rustling. We the decided to shut down the séance.
Conclusion Many strange things happened on our second visit to MargamCastle and it seemed the atmosphere was totally different to the first time we went. I am still looking through all the tapes and will let you all know if anything had been captured.
